Switch Hitter Frequently Asked Questions
1. How does Switch Hitter work?
Switch Hitter works by identifying lighting sources into two categories:
Category One - lighting provides minimum task level lighting throughout the facility during non-business hours for employees to perform their daily tasks.
Category Two - lighting is all of the remaining lighting that is presently being unnecessarily tuned on prior to actual business hours. When these two categories of lighting are identified and controlled independently during non-business hours the results are significant economic savings and increased operational efficiencies.
2. How much could I expect to save using Switch Hitter?
Switch Hitter savings range between seven and twenty-eight per cent in electrical energy usage.
Actual savings are difficult to determine as several factors affect the results. Because of these variable factors we believe it's preferable to focus on using the minimum amount of electrical energy possible without making any changes to the lighting system and given all variable factors.
3. How could we get this installed in our facilities?
Installing Switch Hitter is not a complicated process. To help you install Switch Hitter successfully, we have provided installation instructions and illustrations on a CD-ROM included in every Switch Hitter Kit. With this information, most companies can quickly and easily implement a program to install Switch Hitter on their own and start saving money immediately.
