Switch Hitter provides property managers with a valuable tool to manage energy usage in vacant spaces. Many times property management representatives will turn on all the lighting circuits when showing the space to a prospective tenant or when using the space for a temporary use. This practice of turning on all the lights creates a momentary high demand charge from the electrical utility. The property manager then receives a high billing from the electrical utility for a vacant space. Switch Hitter eliminates this charge by having the representative only turn on the lights necessary to show the space.

Switch Hitter also allows property managers to establish minimum security lighting levels in vacant spaces so it’s not left up to each individuals discretion as to how much lighting should be left on in a vacant space.
